Tasks

-Diagnose risks/issues and escalate as necessary to maintain the project schedule -Develop the Sourcing Plan by working jointly with cross-functional team and management projects by identifying key commodities, establishing SOR, source selection, and other purchasing milestones. -Function as key voice for purchasing meetings and leverage resources for cross-functional activities and provide single voice on all purchasing related tasks. -Oversee program readiness by developing a plan for every part. Develop lead time for sourcing/tooling/PPAP. -Lead and support in evaluating and implementation of Global and Regional Processes and Procedures -Represent purchasing at Project Gate Reviews and ensure critical sourcing dates are met to support various MRDs for product development stages. -Collect lessons learned and provide platform team with continuous improvement suggestions. -Collaborate with the category teams and identify link and leverage opportunities across functions and supply chain. -Facilitate the purchasing process ensuring selected suppliers have cross-functional buy-in. -Track supplier localization progress -Leverage purchasing resources by active participation in support of all team activities including internal/external customer gate reviews and build events. -Support cost book development by developing Program Cost commitment and purchasing savings opportunities.

What You Bring

-Understanding of global compliance regulations, trade agreements, and sustainability standards (IRA, EU Battery Passport, etc.). -Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and analytics tools; experience with Ariba or similar e-sourcing tools is a plus. -Ability to read, write, speak, hear; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach and lift with hands and arms frequently throughout the day. -Possesses strong analytical skills and demonstrates expertise in technical applications. -Ability to sit for extended periods of time. -Aptitude to analyze industry trends and competitor actions and have a general curiosity and passion for BESS and EV acceleration. -Strong understanding of BESS and EV battery value chains, including raw materials (e.g., cathode, anode, electrolyte), cell/module/pack technologies, and supporting DC/AC systems. -Demonstrates effective problem-solving and project management skills and strives for continuous improvement. -Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, industrial engineering, economics, or related technical field with Master’s Degree or MBA preferred. -Highly automated, clean, safe, and temperature-controlled production environment -Ability to build positive relationships through communication, transparency, and delivering on commitments. -Understands and follows all standards of IATF16949 and VDA 6.3 quality standards. (training and awareness will be provided for those who are not familiar with these standards) -Feels comfortable managing large, complex data sets and can leverage analytical skills to drive and influence business decisions. -Desire and proven ability to work in a fast paced, “rapid growth”, and collaborative environment. -Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite). -5+ years of experience in Procurement, Logistics/Transportation, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, or related fields (automotive or other manufacturing industry experience preferred). -Strong negotiating and team-building skills.
