Overview

Operate bucket trucks to install and secure fiber optic cables across Montana.

Tasks

-Install strand and applicable hardware -Setup and operate cable placing equipment such as Larson reels, fiber blowers, cable tuggers, cable rollers, and single or double lashing tools -Safely operate bucket trucks and/or other types of lifts -Track and communicate daily production and materials -Place fiber optic, coax cables, and traceable wires

What You Bring

-Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights, and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.) -This position will require travel throughout the state of Montana as needed -Ability to climb utility poles using climbing spikes and rigging, and experience operating and performing work in a bucket truck -Proficient in new build and pole transfers; knowledge in building strand, lashing, pole transfers & grounding -Active CDL A is preferred -Must have and maintain a valid state driver's license, appropriate to the requirements of the vehicle being driven, and a clear driver’s abstract -One year of experience directly related experience working as a Lineperson or equivalent position -Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol requirements and background check
