Tasks

-Research building codes and industry standards -Interact with project clients, sub-consultants, and repair contractors -Prepare site visit reports and meeting minutes -Analyze proposed repair/design options. -Design and draft repair drawings and details -Write assessment reports -Review and organize project-related documents -Perform field investigations, including non-destructive testing, travel required -Performance modeling of enclosure assemblies using different software -Observe construction and installation of repairs/designs in the field, including quality assurance testing -Assist Project Manager with project tasks -Prepare construction documents such as repair drawings and specifications

What You Bring

-Familiarity with roofing assemblies -M.S. in Architectural Engineering or Architecture in Building Science/Building Enclosures/ Historic Preservation -Familiarity with exterior wall systems -Engineer in Training (EIT) or Architectural Intern track -Experience with working on suspended scaffolding and vertical heights -Familiarity with building structural systems -Computer Aided Drafting/Design (AUTOCAD, REVIT, Rhino, Grasshopper) -Microsoft Office (WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT) -Experience with building performance modeling, software preferred (ECOTECT, VASARI, ENERGYPLUS, EQUEST, DESIGNBUILDER, DIVA, IES-VE, THERM, WUFI)
