Assure that the estimates, including general conditions, are accurate, complete and reflect the actual requirements of the project
Responsible for discussing staffing requirements with operations in preparation of building a project team
Participates in design decisions, evaluations, studies, value engineering, value analysis, scheduling, and constructability reviews etc
Participation in the preparation of construction schedule for estimating purposes
Continuously monitors cost trends in order to detect over-runs and potential problem areas during preconstruction phases
Identify new work opportunities and inform Sales and Marketing of potential projects with current clients
Regular team building/employee appreciation activities
Responsible for the preparation of preliminary, schematic, design development, and construction document estimates and studies during preconstruction
Evaluate and analyze subcontractor proposals in preparation of subcontracts
Supports Sales/Marketing in building General Contractor and Architect/Engineer relationships

Minimum 5+ years’ relevant experience related to commercial and industrial electrical projects
Proficient with MS Suite & Outlook and experience utilizing Accubid, Conest or equivalent estimating software, and AutoCAD
High school diploma or equivalent, combined with completion of an Electrical Apprenticeship Program and field experience, or a bachelor’s degree in construction management or similar studies
Accustomed to estimating projects at varied price ranges ($10m and up)
Experience revising prices and budgets based on changing project conditions quickly
Thorough knowledge of the electrical field with familiarity in materials and construction methods
