Overview

Process weekly/biweekly hourly payroll, handle calculations, reports, and audits.

Tasks

-Assist management with internal and external audits. -Prepare and process weekly and bi-weekly hourly payroll. -Prepare various correspondence, statistical summaries, and other material related to payroll function. -Conduct pay calculations for new hires, changes and terminations. -Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential. -Perform payroll administrative tasks as required. -Liaise with staff and management on payroll related inquiries. -Prepare Records of Employment (ROE) using ROE Web. -Prepare various month end reports. -Prepare and reconcile year-end reporting.

What You Bring

-Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities, capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment -Efficient with Excel, have data processing skills and can effectively deal with confidential information -Undergraduate degree or Diploma in Business, Accounting or a combination of equivalent skills and experience -Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail -Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them -Excellent communications skills, customer service oriented and a team player -Ability to manage a large volume of work and can consistently meet deadlines while ensuring high attention to detail and accuracy -PCP designation and experience using an in-house payroll system are an asset -A minimum of 2 years payroll experience processing the full payroll cycle -Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships with multiple groups -Strong written and oral communication skills
