Assemble, braze, and insulate copper coils on large generator rotors.

Tasks

-Perform rotor winding tasks including winding, brazing, insulating, blocking, wedging, and assembling -May assist in hand skill areas with tasks such as assembly of shrunk-on components and deburring machined parts -Engage in continuous improvement by applying 5S methodology -Work on both new rotors and refurbishment of service rotors

What You Bring

-Successful applicants must be able to obtain Silver Level or higher ACT® WorkKeys® National Career Readiness Certificate -Successful applicants must be able to pass hearing, vision, and pulmonary tests through Siemens Energy’s onsite medical team -High school degree or equivalent with 1+ years of experience in manufacturing/industrial/assembly operations and the ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, charts, and tables -Must be able to obtain copper brazing and ultrasonic examination certifications through Siemens Energy internal certification programs -Must be able to obtain fork truck and crane license through Siemens Energy internal certification programs -Working knowledge of common hand tools and ability to use precision measuring instruments
