Weekend welder performing MIG, TIG, arc welding, blueprint reading, and equipment maintenance.

Tasks

-Examines weld for bead size and other specifications -Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, general arrangement and sub-component detail drawings -Repairs broken or cracked parts and fills holes -Performs MIG, arc and TIG welding, layout, and pipefitting functions -Performs preventive maintenance inspections, diagnose equipment problems and performs necessary repairs and reports findings to supervision -Positions and clamps workpieces together or assembles them in jig or fixtures -Tacks assemblies together -Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positions -Maintain, repair, rebuild and fabricate parts when required for all types of industrial equipment -Chip off excess weld, slag and spatter -Performs all necessary maintenance and repair on all equipment used in welding -Cleans or de-greases parts -Selects torch, torch tip, filler ford and flux, according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of material

What You Bring

-Must successfully complete a criminal background check, physical, drug screen and E-verify -Must be able to read and interpret blueprints -Full compliance with plant, state and federal safety regulations and general work rules. Use of proper lock-out procedure and personal protective equipment -Requires solid written and verbal communication skills -Required to obtain a D14.1 certification at a G1-G4 position within 30 days after hire, If they have already obtained certification with a previous employer is does not apply in our facility. They would need to qualify with Mazzella. -Be able to move parts in and move finished product out of welding area -Possess a working knowledge of all applicable manufacturers and industry standards (CMAA, HMI, ANSI, and OSHA) -Demonstrated mechanical aptitude -Be Smart – common sense about people, good judgement, and intuition around their impact on group dynamics -Certified Welder -Must be detail oriented, self-motivated and disciplined with the ability to multi-task -Excellent math skills and overall PC literacy (Microsoft Office) are required -Team-Oriented Environment: Experience the power of collaboration and support from colleagues who genuinely care about your success. -Strong analytical, conceptual and planning skills are required -Must be able to lift or pull a minimum of 50 pounds -Minimum 2 years’ experience in a metal fabrication environment or other equivalent experience
