The Mechanical Engineer plays a critical role in designing, analyzing, and optimizing mechanical systems within renewable energy projects such as wind turbines, solar thermal plants, battery storage, and bioenergy facilities. This role focuses on improving the efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of energy systems through engineering principles encompassing thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and materials science. The Mechanical Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to support project development, construction, and long-term operation of clean energy assets. We operate as one company, across all locations, with shared responsibility and clear accountability. -Conduct site inspections and troubleshooting to resolve mechanical issues during installation, testing, and commissioning phases. -Support the integration of mechanical systems with electrical, hydraulic, and control systems for comprehensive project solutions. -Prepare detailed engineering reports, documentation, and technical presentations. -Contribute to research and development efforts aimed at improving existing technologies and exploring innovative mechanical solutions. -Perform mechanical analysis and simulations to evaluate heating, cooling, fluid flow, and structural integrity of energy systems. -Design and develop mechanical components and systems for renewable energy technologies, ensuring performance optimization and durability. -Collaborate with engineering, procurement, project management, and construction teams to ensure technical specifications are met. -Review vendor and supplier documentation to validate quality and compliance with mechanical design requirements. -Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and environmental regulations related to mechanical engineering.
-Professional Engineer (PE) license or certification is a plus. -Collaborative team player with adaptability and eagerness to learn emerging technologies. -Effective communicator capable of translating complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders. -Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field required. -Understanding of industry codes, standards (e.g., ASME, ASTM), and regulatory requirements. -Familiarity with renewable energy systems including wind turbines, solar thermal, energy storage, or bioenergy. -3+ years of mechanical engineering experience, ideally in renewable energy, utility, or industrial sectors. -Advanced certifications or training in renewable energy technologies preferred. -Proficiency with CAD software, FEA tools, and simulation software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS). -Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams. -Strong knowledge of mechanical design, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
