Chief Engineer

Overview

Oversee engineering ops for three commercial buildings, manage systems and projects.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Assist with competitive process, develop statement of work construction documents, obtain bids/proposals/cost estimates for TWO's (Tenant Work Order's) and construction projects -Maintaining records and prepare required reports -Preparing work schedules -Oversight of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety system repairs -Quality Control/Inspect completed work -Oversight of diagnostic and repairs on building systems -Providing Quality Control services for the work of subordinates and subcontractors to ensure maximum efficiency, economy, and quality of work performed -Coordinating and schedule maintenance and repair work on a daily basis -Manage some on-site subcontractors supporting the projects -Preparing and issuing solicitations for the subcontractors as necessary for the acquisition of goods and services in support of the contract requirements

What You Bring

-Ability to plan, organize and meet deadlines -Ability to read, review and understand blueprints -Demonstrate expert working knowledge of engineering and building systems—AHU's, Chillers, Boilers, RTU's, VAV, etc. -Ability to work independently and as part of a team -Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and project tracking software -Ability to work on several projects simultaneously and prioritize work, as required -5+ years of building engineering experience -Ability to manage subordinates and multiple projects in a fast pace environment -Excellent written and verbal communication skills
