The Role
Overview
Supervises bridge carpentry crew, ensures safety, schedule, quality, and documentation.

Tasks
-Clarify and explain, as needed, to all crew members the construction means and methods to be utilized during daily job activities. -Delegating individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors -Ensuring a clean and organized work area and improving and maintaining good housekeeping practices. -Coordinating daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary due to weather, supply, delivery, and personnel. -Providing adequate resources and staffing to meet project schedules, laws, regulations, best practices, and safety needs. -Emphasizing the safe use of tools, machinery, and equipment while providing training on safety gear, helmets, and procedures -Regularly reporting project status to supervisors. -Sustain daily safety meetings with all crew members at the beginning of each different job activity. -Resolving conflicts or miscommunications quickly and amicably

What You Bring
-Ability to quickly identify problems and efficiently solve them. -Must be familiar with the dot specs and requirements. (For Roadway and MOT operations) -Ability to oversee and coordinate a variety of people in different roles. -Good verbal and written communication skills. -Ability to read and understand drawings and plans. -Ability to work under pressure. -Thorough understanding of legal requirements relating to construction and building sites. -Thorough understanding of quality building practices.
