The Role
Overview
Supervises maintenance staff, schedules repairs, manages vendors, ensures OSHA compliance.

Tasks
-Assists with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects. -Tracks all maintenance activities through the maintenance management program. -Develop maintenance procedures and schedules as necessary. -Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy. -Develops and maintains preventative maintenance schedule in collaboration with operations staff. -Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of maintenance staff. -Assesses production equipment to plan work assignments and project schedules. -Hires and trains maintenance department staff. -Develops and maintains critical spare parts lists and inventory levels of those parts to avoid unscheduled downtime. -Ensures that there is 24/7 maintenance coverage of operations within the facility. -Sustain equipment documentation including electrical and mechanical systems. Ensure updates are made to keep all documents current. -Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner. -Helps to develop, coach and train staff. -Evaluates production equipment or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need tobe performed. -Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive. -Oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department.

What You Bring
-Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. -Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. -High school diploma required, associates electrical engineering preferred. -5 years experience programing and supervising PLC and motor drive systems -Must be able to lift 45 pounds at a time. -Wire & Cable experience a plus. -Must be able to travel property and facility to diagnose production and building issues and plan -Ability to plan maintenance schedules for production systems. -Must be physically able to perform repairs when needed. -Extensive knowledge of Facility related systems. -At least five years managing employees is required. -Excellent management and supervisory skills. -8-10 years of maintenance work experience required. -Extensive knowledge of large manufacturing equipment. -Ability to work in a hot or cold environment as deemed necessary. -Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. -Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed. -Knowledge and understanding of PLC’s and large Hp AC and DC drives and motors -Ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics. -Experience with 2D & 3D CAD a plus
