Overview

Provide legal support, reviewing and negotiating construction contracts for the Asia division.

Tasks

-Maintain appropriate awareness of the legislative and regulatory environment relating to key aspects of WSP’s current operations. -Responsible for reviewing a full range of contracts and associated documents. -Proactively managing and leading negotiations. -Providing clear and concise feedback on contract risks and conduct follow up calls with colleagues to discuss, where required in a timely manner. -Establishing and maintaining good professional relationships with the business, as well as with external parties such as clients and their legal counsel.

What You Bring

-Exposure to Asia clients desirable. -Employment with WSP India is subject to the successful completion of a background verification (“BGV”) check conducted by a third-party agency appointed by WSP India. -Highly developed communication skills. -Experienced in negotiating complex commercial agreements. -Ability to work as a member of a team and bring to the team initiative, energy and enthusiasm. -Ability to act commercially and to appropriately balance commercial and operational imperatives with legal risk. -Proficient in English (oral and written). -Ability to work independently and report to manager as required.
