Tasks
The Site Safety Officer is responsible for enforcing safety policies, ensuring OSHA compliance, conducting inspections, and fostering a culture of safety on the job site. You will serve as the first line of defense for risk mitigation and work closely with both project managers and field personnel to ensure safe work practices are followed at all times. -Promote a proactive safety culture through engagement and education -Serve as point of contact during safety audits or inspections by external agencies -Ensure all personnel have appropriate PPE and certifications -Implement and enforce OSHA and company safety standards on-site -Conduct daily safety inspections, audits, and site walk-throughs -Collaborate with site supervisors and project managers to mitigate risks -Investigate incidents and near-misses, document findings, and recommend corrective actions -Monitor subcontractor and crew compliance with safety policies -Lead safety briefings, toolbox talks, and training sessions -Play a foundational role in building and optimizing internal programs as the company scales. -Maintain required safety documentation, logs, and reports

What You Bring
-Experience with safety software or digital documentation tools a plus -Reliable transportation and ability to be onsite in Boise, ID -Minimum 3 years of construction or industrial safety experience -Ability to work independently and respond quickly to dynamic site conditions -Excellent communication and leadership skills -OSHA 30-hour Construction Certification (required) -Strong understanding of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 standards -First Aid/CPR certification (required)
