Tasks

-Maintain good housekeeping in work area. -Responsible for ensuring heaters are properly reworked to meet quality standards. -Must do required paperwork on each reworked unit. -Make required repairs to damaged or improperly assembled water heaters. -Must accurately prepare scrap reports. -Support, Practice, and Promote Rheem values both internally and externally for 100% Customer Satisfaction. -Replaces critical components for proper functioning of units. -While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hand to finger dexterity, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. -Observe and follow all safety requirements. -Maintain departmental reports complete, on-time, and consistently. -Inspect in-process work, finished units, components, and audit processes for proper acceptable workmanship and defect free conditions. -Maintain quality standards according to specifications, and leadership direction. -Must inform supervision, production control, Quality, etc of any missing and/or damaged literature, labels, energy guides and replace on unit. -Contributing Respectfully - Sharing opinions, valuing ideas, sharing opposing perspectives with respect

-The employee is frequently required to walk and talk or hear and repetitive lifting as well as bending, twisting, turning, reaching, pushing, pulling. -Listening to Understand – Open mind, learning from others, accepting feedback, embracing the objective -Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. -Work from written or verbal orders. -Must be able to read and utilize section schedules, pick lists, Oracle, etc to correctly verify part accuracy and quantities at all times. -The employee must frequently lift and/or move 5-25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25-60 pounds. -Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. -Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. -Ability to write simple correspondence. -Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. -Possess basic Computer skills to understand, interpret, and communicate Microsoft office email, word, excel, oracle, etc. -Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. -Thinking Creatively – Applying creativity, seeking improvements, understanding from the customers’ lens -1 year Heater Line assembly experience required. -Capable of arranging things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations). -The following skills will be tested: Lift truck, Arithmetic, Computer skills. -Proficient use of arithmetic (test may be administered) -Must successfully complete and pass lift truck training classes or have lift truck license in good standing. -Ability to apply good judgement to carry out simple one or two-step instructions. -High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
