Tasks

-Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components -Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous -Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures -Ensure you are knowledgeable in your trade and confidently lead a team -Work with and maintain all tools in a safe manner -Inspect electrical systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to identify hazards or locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem and ensure compliance with codes -Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes -Build and maintain a good work ethic and working relationship with the site team, entire project workforce and encourage positive morale -Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, apparatus, and fixtures, using appropriate hand tools and power tools -Install distribution and instrumentation equipment -Install MCC's, High Voltage Switchgear and Stress Cones

What You Bring

-Ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings -Thorough knowledge and understanding of NAC'S Health, Safety, and Environment policies and procedures as per the roles and responsibilities within the HSE Manual -Knowledge of workplace safety procedures -5+ years of leadership experience (Lead Hand or Foreperson) commercial/industrial industry -Experience working with rigid steel conduit, cable tray, high voltage systems, EMT conduit, motor controls -Experience with Class 1, Zone 1& 2 areas -Knowledge of cable pulls and set up of cable pulls required -Valid Drivers License -Valid WHMIS, Elevated/Aerial Work Platform, Fall Arrest or Working at Heights and Confined Space certificates are required -Experience with MCC and PLC wiring, understanding of PLC's. -Must hold a valid Red Seal Electrician certification -Knowledge of safe operation of tools
