The Role

Overview

Design civil/site plans, grading, drainage, stormwater, and permits using Civil 3D.

Tasks

-Produce construction drawings, plans, and cost estimates. -Provide technical support to more senior staff. -Generate pipe profiles and review stormwater designs based on project constraints. -Prepare stormwater management calculations including developing basin routings, channel design, and inlet capacity calculations. -Identify problems, evaluate alternatives, and recommend solutions to peers and management. -Develop Erosion & Sedimentation Pollution Control (E&SPC) and Post-Construction Stormwater Management (PCSM) plan sets and reports. -Prepare PADEP Chapter 102 and Chapter 105 permits, including: NPDES permits, General Permits, and other technical aspects of the regulatory permitting process. -Perform design tasks, such as conceptual planning, detailed grading, and drainage designs associated with civil engineering construction projects.

What You Bring

-Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification, preferred. -Conform to the company’s standard AutoCAD procedures for layering, details, etc. -Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. -Knowledge of local city, county, and state land use processes and regulations (PA). -Experience in land development. -Attention to detail with analytical and judgment capabilities. -Demonstrated AutoCAD Civil 3D skills with the ability to design from concept plans through construction plans. -Proficiency in technical skills in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrological analysis, grading, and other site development related designs, preferred. -Ability to interact well with coworkers, clients, and regulatory agencies. -0-4 years of civil engineering experience. -Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. -Strong verbal and written communication skills. -Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
