The Role

Overview

Manages metal inventory, blending, and coordination between operations and suppliers.

Tasks

-Count inventory and scrap, paint prime with counts - update daily inventory and distribute -Review truck/railroad incoming material schedule and coordinate with South Ingot/Can Rec--Emails storage locations -Enter charge sheet data into Ingot Pad Melter Charge database, review footage as necessary -Coordinate and identify segregation of all various alloys -Assist with rejecting Loads---Copy paperwork, pictures, and email to Metals Team -Develop Charge Blending plans and work with operations to ensure scrap utilization is maximized

What You Bring

-High School graduate or equivalent -Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Root Cause Analysis and Reliability Excellence methodologies -Minimum of (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment -Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a high performance, cross functional team environment -Experience with furnaces or molten metal processes -Understand how metal flows through the process and recognize inaccuracies in the system -Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position -2+ years of direct management/supervisory experience
