Tasks

-Prepare reports and technical documents for internal and external stakeholders. -Lead and manage projects from proposal through completion, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives are met. -Work at outdoor sites including wetlands, forests, grasslands, construction zones, and undeveloped land. -Participate in cross-functional collaboration with engineering, laboratory, safety, and operational teams -Track project financial performance, including cost control, revenue forecasting, and profitability analysis. -Perform or supervise field inspections, construction materials testing, and special inspections when needed. -Travel on foot across uneven, rugged, or obstructed terrain, sometimes in areas inaccessible by vehicle. -Assist with identifying add-on or follow-on work opportunities through client engagement and field visibility. -Support employee development through training, mentorship, and performance feedback; participate in hiring and onboarding. Ensure all activities adhere to company safety protocols and regulatory requirements -Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients to manage expectations, address issues, and ensure satisfaction. -Review and approve timesheets, reports, and client documentation; ensure timely submission of project deliverables. -Provide technical oversight and ensure compliance with applicable standards (e.g., ASTM, ACI, ICC), specifications, and industry best practices. -Work is performed at a desk for extended periods using a computer, phone, and standard office equipment in a climate-controlled office environment. -Develop project estimates, proposals, and scopes of work in collaboration with technical and business development teams -Coordinate and assign resources, including field technicians and support staff, to ensure project needs are met efficiently

What You Bring

-Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline; OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. -This position requires occasional travel, approximately 10% to 20% of the time, to support business -Ability to stand, walk, drive, and operate lab and field equipment for extended periods. -For non-degreed candidates: 7–10+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting, or construction materials testing (CMT) and inspection. -Ability to lift and carry between 35–75 lbs. of equipment or samples over distances up to 75 feet. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-specific platforms (e.g., project management, data reporting systems). -Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats in varied environments, often while wearing PPE. -Ability to use sensory capabilities to see (including close and distant vision, color perception, depth perception, and focus) and smell for observation and safety purposes -Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and interface with clients and regulatory bodies effectively -Regular in-person communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders is required. -Ability to bend, twist, reach, stoop, kneel, climb, and balance as needed during both lab and fieldwork. -Certifications in relevant inspection or testing areas preferred (e.g., ACI, ICC, ATTI, Nuclear Safety). -Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills -Willingness to travel to job sites and work in diverse environmental conditions -This position operates in a hybrid work environment, requiring flexibility to work effectively from both a professional office and work site setting. -Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record -Exposure to varying weather conditions including heat, cold, humidity, rain, or sun.
