Tasks
-Acts as a liaison between the employees, the Company and external insurance company contacts regarding worker’s compensation matters. Attends quarterly workers’ compensation claim reviews. -Plans, manages and implements the field safety program and teams for the division. -Takes the lead role in the performance of serious or catastrophic accident investigations. -Represents the company during insurance and OSHA inspections. -Attends various operational meetings to discuss safety-related matters. -Helps the Safety Director in working with marketing to supply safety information for project proposals. -Helps the Safety Director in the management of the Drug and Alcohol program, in ensuring company compliance with ‘Entering the Work Zone’ program and in the management of Workers’ Compensation claims. -Helps provide timely statistical information and status on all safety and workers’ compensation and related claims to senior management. -Helps plan, design and implement the Company Safety and Health Program.

What You Bring
-Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety/health, construction management or related field (Required). -Proficiency in MS Office (Intermediate). -Proficiency in SIMS (Site Information Management System). -Knowledge of and ability to enforce all federal, state, local and company safety regulations. -Valid and unrestricted drivers license required -Proficiency in company safety software/programs, processes and tools (Advanced). -Ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures. -Knowledge of various testing protocols for noise and contaminants. -2+ people management experience (Required). -Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner. -Knowledge of various testing protocols for environmental hazards. -In lieu of the above requirements, relevant experience will be considered. -Communications skills, verbal and written (Advanced). -Ability to build relationships with team members that transcend a project. -Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally. -8+ years construction safety experience (Required). -Proficiency in required construction technology (Intermediate).
