Tasks

The Database Administrator/Data Engineer II will design, implement, and support backend database systems and critical applications. The role will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance, and support both internal users and business-critical systems. -Implement Power BI workspace governance. -Apply patches, update, and manage user permissions. -Build semantic models and datasets. -Maintain clear technical documentation and standard operating procedures -Ensure data integrity during migrations, updates, and access control. -Install, configure, and maintain relational (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL databases. -Share knowledge and support junior team members. -Monitor, tune, and optimize database performance; manager and automate backups. -Partner with IT team on projects; assists in application rollouts and infrastructure upgrades.

The employee is regularly required to talk or hear. -Strong analytical, problem-solving aptitude, and attention to detail. -Knowledge of virtualization, scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python), cloud platforms (e.g., AWS/Azure), or DevOps tooling is advantageous. -Experience with AI principles is a plus. -Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field—or equivalent hands-on experience. -Adhere to ITIL or related operational frameworks. -Data warehousing (ETL) -Real-time integration utilizing web services and integration middleware. -Cloud-based database solutions (e.g., Azure, AWS) -4-8 years in direct database administration/data engineering. -Demonstrated experience building Power BI solutions (models, DAX, refresh strategies) and production pipelines. -Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) -Experience with SQL-based systems
