Tasks

-Assisting with Preconstruction-Operations Turnover Meetings -Collaborating with Preconstruction Leadership -Assisting with Subcontractor and Vendor relationships -Assisting with the project construction budget -Assisting with Preconstruction resource management -Collaborating and assisting the project operations team -Assisting with the development and utilization of the Preconstruction processes, standards and tools -Developing associated scope of work clarifications -Collaborating with designers and clients -Assisting with project procurement and buyout -Contributing to cost savings exercises -Assisting with the development of bid packages -Identifying risk items and the associated order of magnitude -Assisting the Pricing Lead and participating in estimate review meetings -Leading and training Estimating personnel -Developing accurate, detailed civil construction cost estimates at progressive design stages -Participating in Preconstruction software development, maintenance and historical costs

What You Bring

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. -Strong organizational and communication skills -Proven computer skills, including the utilization of Microsoft Office programs -Self-perform estimating experience -Experience developing detailed cost estimates for civil projects, including earthwork, site utilities, process yard piping, roads, site finishes, deep foundation systems, earth retention systems, dewatering systems, bypass pumping, etc. -Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering and 5 years of estimating experience preferred or 15 years relevant experience in the construction industry -Proficient with earthwork software such as Agtek or InSite -Proficient with on screen takeoff software, such as Planswift -Demonstrated sitework estimating experience preparing quantity surveys and cost estimates for all civil construction scopes of work, requiring complete knowledge of labor, material, equipment and subcontractor costs -Design-Build and CMAR project delivery method experience -Revit/Navisworks experience preferred -Estimating software experience required, Beck Destini Estimator preferred -Experience within Water/Wastewater and Industrial markets -Traveling as required, 10% - 20%
