The Role

Overview

Develop and analyze energy tariffs, ensure regulatory compliance, and support pricing strategy.

Tasks

-Project Involvement: Support the implementation of new tariffs or changes to existing tariffs, including managing timelines, coordinating with relevant teams, and ensuring smooth execution. -Work closely with other departments to share findings and ensure data accuracy. -Market Research: Monitor market tariffs and emerging industry trends, identifying opportunities for competitive advantage and proposing adjustments to tariffs or pricing strategies. -Tariff Development & Analysis: Analyse and develop energy tariffs in line with market trends, regulatory frameworks, and company objectives. -Up to date with changes in regulatory requirements and adjust tariff structures accordingly. -Regulatory Compliance, ensure all tariffs are compliant with industry regulations, including government policies and Ofgem guidelines. -Ensure that tariffs are optimised for cost-effectiveness and meet both business and customer needs. -Reporting & Data Management: Regularly produce reports on tariff performance, including cost analysis, profitability, and customer impact.

What You Bring

-Experience working within a DNO or IDNO in a tariff or pricing-related role. Strong knowledge of energy tariff structures, and industry regulations is essential. -A relevant degree or professional qualification within the energy, economics, or finance field is preferred. -Previous experience in a regulatory, commercial, or analytical role within the energy sector. -Technical Skills: Proficient in data analysis and tariff modelling. -Experience with software tools such as Excel, SQL, or other relevant tariff analysis tools is highly desirable. -Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. -A comprehensive understanding of the energy market, regulatory frameworks, and key players within the DNO/IDNO space.
