Tasks

-Conduct transportation activities including, but not limited to, managing a centralized hauling process, providing internal and external guidance, coordination and assistance on effectively hauling material. Identify, review and analyze inbound and outbound material flows for optimization opportunities and efficiencies. -Implement and monitor a strategic external transportation and logistics plan that identifies targeted savings, increases service capabilities, and promotes continuous process improvement. -Seek out qualified transportation hauling, innovation and support material which can meet Transmission Field Service's needs in the transportation marketplace, and communicate new transportation hauling options to the appropriate personnel. -Manage outsource hauling work authorization agreements and problem resolution. -Monitor hauling contractor service levels and prepare hauling contractor scorecards. -Establish uniform claim procedures and assist field personnel with hauling claim resolution.

What You Bring

-Four years' experience in operations, supply chain, logistics or transportation industry. Demonstrated analytical, scheduling and business process capabilities are strongly desired. -Analytical and organization skills are desired. -Associate's degree or higher Business Administration or Technical related field. -This position requires the incumbent to have the ability to develop strong communication (both oral and written) and presentation skills. -Ability to work effectively in a team environment and to coordinate multiple activities will be critical to successful performance of this position. -Computer skills are also essential including Microsoft Office and Excel Spreadsheets.
