The Role

Overview

Support food & beverage operations by prepping stations, delivering orders, and maintaining cleanliness.

Tasks

-Receives and stores food and beverage items adhering to all food hygiene regulations and procedures ISO -Report immediately to the immediate supervisor on any concerns that may be observed or realized which may affect food safety. -Contribute to a positive food safety culture and comply with the O&O FSMS & Codex HACCP and Dubai Municipality food safety requirements. -Follow directions from the Waiter in order to ensure exceptional guest service -Work with stewarding team to manage restaurant clearance area, clean and polish OS&E -Preserve the work/clearing stations organized and stocked in order to better accommodate the needs of the Waiter -Completing restaurant mis en place, such as stocking up bars and restaurant, setting tables, kitchen pass, bar set up following through the opening and closing checklist as per SOP -Follows company guidelines regarding grooming, uniforms and personal hygiene -Ensure honesty and integrity in the way tasks are executed and records maintained. -Maintain an interest in food safety matters, actively participate in food safety training and be aware of all the control measures and record keeping for which they are directly responsible. -Pick-up and delivery of food and beverage items to the waiter sections/table and transporting back to the back of house the soiled dishes, glassware, silverware and napkins. -Provides a link between bar, kitchen and service areas running the food or beverage orders -Adhere to and support One&Only One Za’abeel Quality Standards. -Assist the waiter or bartender to deliver food and beverages to the tables -Responsible for keeping buffet areas clean, tidy and safe by ensuring the stations are kept clean, organized, stocked up and floors free of any debris or liquids -Report to property on time and in proper uniform

-Be updated with food and beverages knowledge required to carry out duties -Previous experience in a similar job role (restaurant/bar waiter o r similar). -Outgoing, confident, good communication skills with the right attitude, who is flexible and a great team player who works well under pressure analytical thinking, sincere and dependable. -High sense of responsibility -Multi-tasking capability without compromising on quality. -Confident to deal with peers and senior colleagues . -Punctual and able to work flexible working hours .
