Monitor construction for compliance with project documents including collecting and checking material tags and certificates of compliance.
Measure, calculate, and document quantities of installed materials in accordance with client policies and procedures.
Communicate with project team members and provide recommendations.
Provide daily inspections and complete documentation including daily reports documenting contractor labor, equipment, daily construction progress, project site visitors, non-conforming work, safety issues, traffic control, field measured quantiles, field discussions with the contractor and public, and daily project photographs, labor compliance interviews and etc.
Coordinate with clients/owners, other consultants, contractors, materials testers and others involved with the project.
Read and interpret Standard Specifications, Standard plans, project plans and specifications.
Inspect construction (based on Caltrans Standards)

Proficient in MS PowerPoint and MS Project.
2-year associate degree in relevant area is a plus.
Able to work nighttime.
Highschool degree/GED or equivalent.
Competent verbal and written communication skills.
3-5+ years progressively responsible experience in construction inspection, or 6-8+ years of general construction experience.
Willingness to travel.
Valid CA driver's license.
Demonstrate knowledge in construction inspection applications.
