Tasks

As a Parametric Modeling Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our organization's design and development processes. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining parametric models using advanced software tools and techniques, including Autodesk Inventor. Your expertise will help streamline our design workflows, enhance productivity, and drive innovation in substation design. -Reference information from vendor prints, catalogs, technical manuals, etc. -Assist engineers in preparing input for general purpose computer programs. Compile data and computes quantities. -Create intelligent and standardized equipment and structure models which will be used to create substations. -Perform basic designs for substations and produce models and drawings following industry standards and guidelines under the direction of more experienced personnel. -Assist in ensuring compliance with required design safety factors, tolerances, and specifications. -Utilize LiDAR survey scans to support field verification efforts, and generate models based on field conditions. -Perform electrical design tasks which regularly require the application of fundamental engineering concepts. -Perform routine checking and/or verification of lower-level staff ‘s work for technical quality, accuracy and compliance with customer, company, and electrical discipline standards.

Our experienced team connects testing and engineering and allows problem solving and corrective actions to occur before they become adverse client challenges. -Vocational School Certificate or Associates Degree. -Knowledgeable in 2D CADD platforms (AutoCAD and MicroStation) and 3D Parametric modeling platforms (Inventor or Solidworks). -Ability to take marked drawings and produce complete and correct CADD drawings, following the project/client drawing standards. -Basic written and verbal communication skills in English. -Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities. -2-10 years of experience in CAD design, with preference in electrical or substation/switchyard projects. -Ability to complete tasks in accordance with project procedures and applicable codes and/or standards and have the ability to discuss routine technical problems and communicate effectively with immediate supervisor and other project personnel. -Demonstrated commitment to customer service and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
