Overview

Perform plumbing maintenance and minor upgrades at Gallipoli Barracks base.

Key Responsibilities

• backflow testing
• valve testing
• plumbing repair
• drainage maintenance
• service requests
• urgent repairs

Tasks

-Undertake backflow prevention and thermostatic mixing valve testing where certified -Maintain and repair water supply, sewerage, drainage and other plumbing systems across the base -Perform general plumbing maintenance and minor upgrade works in accordance with PAS service definitions -Respond promptly to service requests and urgent repairs

Requirements

• driver’s licence
• certificate iii
• qbcc licence
• plumbing experience
• security clearance
• backflow cert

What You Bring

-Current Open Driver’s Licence. -Certificate III in Plumbing (or equivalent) -QBCC Plumbing Licence (QLD), -Post-trade experience in plumbing maintenance, preferably in a facilities or Defence environment -Ability to obtain and retain Defence Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required) -Backflow Prevention Certification and Gas Work Licence (Type A) (desirable) -Demonstrated ability to perform plumbing system maintenance, drainage and water system management
