Tasks

-Cultivate and sustain strategic supplier relationships while driving costs and lead-time reductions, -Oversee inbound logistics, freight, warehousing, and delivery of materials – proactively resolve any delays or disruptions, -Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and pricing options regularly, -Adhere to all company policies and procedures. -Stay updated on regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to sourcing activities, -Lead purchasing activities using computerized systems and shipping processes, -Optimize transportation routes to reduce lead times and costs, -Develop, implement, monitor, and maintain an overview of our supply chain strengths, challenges and opportunities, -Collaborate across departments to implement improvements and keep operations running efficiently, -Report on inventory, spend forecasting, supplier metrics, and operational performance, -Continually evaluate and improve procurement practices, -Lead inventory management with a keen eye on turnover, data accuracy and surplus retention, -Manage supply chain risks, including disruptions, price fluctuations, or geopolitical shifts, -Source, evaluate, and negotiate with potential suppliers, assessing their capabilities and fit against predefined criteria,

What You Bring

-Strong negotiation, analytical, and contract management skills. -Must hold a valid passport and the flexibility to travel internationally. -Valid Class 5 license and reliable transportation -Ability to thrive both independently and as part of a collaborative team. -Attention to detail, organized, and able to meet tight deadlines. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Projects) and computerized procurement systems. -Minimum of 3 years progressive experience in purchasing and supply chain management, preferably within the construction industry. -Fluency in Mandarin -Familiar with construction terms and processes. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. -Degree or diploma in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related field. -Local or willing to relocate to Central Alberta for in office work. -Resilient under pressure and adaptable to changing priorities.
