The Role

Overview

Operate blasting booth to prep steel surfaces for painting on bridges and structures.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Receive instructions and schedules from plant supervision. -Check all finished work for obvious defects prior to final inspection. -Maintain work area and equipment in clean, orderly condition. -Perform operator maintenance on booth and spray hose. -Blasts bridges inside blast booth to remove mill scale and prep steel surface for paint.

What You Bring

-Good attention to detail and organizational skills. -Ability to pass pulmonary fit test and be capable of wearing blast suit for long period of time (2+ hours). -Ability to work with precision instruments. -Ability to read notes on drawings for project instructions.
