Tasks

-Facilitate coordination among various consultants to develop precise contract drawings, documents, and specifications necessary for obtaining building permits. -Provide oversight and monitor the work of less experienced staff, providing empathetic mentorship to foster their professional development. -Serve as primary contact liaison to bring the real estate development strategy's requirements schedule, budgets, and scope of work to completion. -Ensure that the project conforms to the contractual agreement the firm has made with the client and in accordance with company quality standards and code requirements -Manage and coordinate multiple project efforts, administrative and technical, to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects through all phases of development, including Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration. -Weekly PD training sessions: Continuously develop your skills and stay updated with industry trends. -You will be managing multiple project types across multiple jurisdictions. We expect you to be able to lead and own everything from napkin sketch feasibility study to pulling a permit. -Collaborate with Drafters and Design Principals to produce comprehensive plans for submission to the City for Planning and Building Permit. -Reporting directly to the VP of Design, you will lead a rapidly growing team with plans to continue to expand in size over the coming year. -Work closely with senior staff and the technical project team to enhance project progress and coordinate task scheduling.

What You Bring

As an Intermediate Architectural Designer, you will work directly with the client (if applicable), governing agencies, all consultants and other team members to deliver projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will strike a balance between design and technical solutions to keep the project on track. You must possess excellent time management and proactively manage project details and teammates assigned to your project. -Experience working on Schematic, Design Development, and CD documentation. -Intermediate mathematical skills, including calculations, proportions, percentages, and basic algebra and geometry concepts. -Proficiency in computer-aided design software, such as Revit and AutoCAD. -Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience preferred. -Proficiency in reading and interpreting documents and effective communication through writing and presentations. -Bachelor's degree or higher in architecture or related field, or equivalent combination of education, experience, or training. -Familiarity with software such as Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office Professional.
