Tasks
-Manage and mentor junior members of the commercial team -Follow up on payments and keep senior management informed of any issues -Take full commercial responsibility for allocated projects, including monthly cost reporting -Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and the supply chain, including managing standard rate agreements -Price and agree project variations with clients and subcontractors, maintaining clear records -Prepare contractual notices and administer subcontract conditions in line with company procedures -Prepare and submit accurate valuations, supported by regular site visits -Ensure timely and fair resolution of final accounts with clients and subcontractors -Maintain well-organised commercial files (electronic and hard copy) -Support pre-construction activities alongside the bid and contracts teams

We are working with a well-established civil engineering specialist who are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of key infrastructure projects and contribute to the continued success of a respected contractor. A strong civils background is essential, and experience in the water utilities sector is highly advantageous. -Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor in a civils environment -Excellent communication and negotiation skills -Ability to manage multiple projects and mentor junior team members effectively -Experience in the water utilities sector is desirable -Strong knowledge of commercial and contractual management principles
