Overview

Coordinates material planning, scheduling, and quality to meet production targets.

Tasks

-Estimate build start dates (driven by material availability/personnel). -Work with the procurement team to expedite material to support production schedules. -Ensure quality and on time delivery of products. -Identify material requirements for new programs/orders. -Submit PR request for items that need to be replaced, floor stock, and tooling, etc. -Identify material that will delay production. -Update requirements based on damaged or lost items. -Analyze production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes, equipment, and human resource requirements. -Tracking material due dates and shortages. -Update MO requirements based on revision changes, GFM, RMAs, damaged, or lost parts. -Analyze, recommend, and implement recovery plans, as appropriate. -Develop and review MBOMs for accuracy and provides input for labor estimates. -Sync material due dates with the expected release date for kits. -Confer with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects. -Take care of MRB items. Determine if parts need to be RMA’ed, repaired, re-ordered, or scrapped. -Perform Material Requirements Planning. -Coordinate with QA to prioritize inspection points (i.e. Incoming, In-Process, & Final QA). -Develop production schedules with timelines for material lead times, kitting, production, test, QA, and shipping. -Ensure Health and Safety Standards are met at all times. -Create/Release Manufacturing Orders (MO)/MO Travelers for kitting. -Interact with Inventory to get shortages released to the floor.

What You Bring

-2 years of relevant experience within production planning. (Preference towards DoD related work) -Experience with MS Office and general computer functions. -Understanding of the manufacturing process and the flow of product through kitting, assembly, test, and QA. -Familiar with Technical Data Packages (TDPs) and assembly drawings. -High school diploma.
