Overview

Maintain and repair company fleet vehicles and equipment.

Tasks

-Performs tests on specific parts and systems to ensure proper function. -Sustain interpersonal relationships, which encourage openness, candor, and trust, both internally and externally. -Maintains vehicles, which may include a company’s fleet of cars, trucks, generators, small equipment, trailers, and other motor vehicles. -Repairs or replaces malfunctioning parts and systems such as brake pads, belts, water pumps, transmissions, and other mechanical parts. -Test drives vehicle to confirm safe and proper operation. -Attends work regularly and on time with a minimum of tardiness and absences and adheres to Company policies and procedures regarding absences and tardiness. Provides adequate notice to higher management with respect to vacation time and time-off requests. -Examines critical parts and systems using a standard checklist. -Performs routine and preventive maintenance including oil changes and tune-ups. -Complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner. -Maintain initiative to preserve the flow of work. -Identifies mechanical problems either visually or with computer diagnostic equipment. -Maintain Company information in a confidential manner. -Plans and establishes timetable to complete repairs and maintenance.

What You Bring

-Oil Filter Wrench -LED Flashlight or Work Light -Two years of related experience preferred. -Impact Gun -Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks -Ability to work accurately and independently -Vocational/technical school program or apprenticeship in auto repair or related field required. -Act independently and originate new approaches to problems. -Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times. -Wrench and Socket Set -High school diploma or equivalent required. -Ability to learn new methods & systems required to adapt to changes in the work environment -Demonstrate informative and professional assistance when working with customers, vendors, and team members. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills -While performing the duties of this position the employee must be able to work in multiple climates, and work environments including but not limited to dust, heat, cold, steam, noise, vibrations, grease/oil, fumes, and wet environments. -Accurate, organized and detail oriented with exceptional follow up skills -Requires a valid driver’s license in good standing -Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present. -Must be able to push, pull, pull up, bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, turn head-neck-shoulders as needed, grasp and hold tools and other items with hands, for either extended periods of time or many times throughout the shift. -Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
