Tasks

Own the APAC mechanical design standard for a major hyperscale program. Translate client requirements into global reference design. Make sure what is designed gets built, tested, and performs. -Support workload and prioritisation across the Global Design Standards team. -Mentor mid-level and junior engineers. -Operate as an IC while partnering daily with global counterparts. -Translate OPR into GRD intent and localise with A/E partners. -Guide readiness for high-density and liquid-cooled loads. -Advise Product, Engineering, Construction, Operations, and Sales on risk vs opportunity. -Prepare concise technical reports and present recommendations to senior leadership. -Act as regional design authority for mechanical. -Lead design reviews from concept to IFC and into Cx. -Optimise systems for efficiency, reliability, maintainability.

What You Bring

Singapore or Malaysia. About 15% regional travel. Remote collaboration with global teams. -Cx understanding: IST test scripts, performance verification, design intent to site results. -Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical. -Professional membership preferred: CEng, PE, CPEng or equivalent. -Thermodynamics, CFD, and heat transfer principles applied to real designs. -Multidisciplinary design experience, ideally in a lead role. -OPR to GRD to Cx and IST. -Strong HVAC and cooling architectures: chilled water, CRAH/CRAC, indirect evaporative, containment, liquid cooling. -Deep mechanical systems expertise for data centres or mission-critical MEP. -Background with consultants, client engineer, site engineer, or contractor engineer. -Proven design governance: OPR, BOD, GRD, peer reviews, close-out of comments. -Your standard becomes the blueprint across multiple APAC campuses. -5+ years in data centres or mission-critical M&E led industries. -Comfortable working across time zones and multi-disciplinary teams. -Acknowledged subject matter expert in a relevant DC design or specification area.

Benefits

Salary: circa $170-215k SGD + bonus Minimum qualifications -Hybrid setup. Purposeful travel only.
