Tasks

-Collaborate across assorted business functions (finance, accounting, sales, operations, HR, etc.) providing insights with ad‐hoc analyses over the company’s inventory functions and associated transactions. -Ensure SOX compliance by adhering to internal control requirements, maintaining updated documentation and providing recommendations as appropriate -Assist in preparation of various internal and external reports -Prepare/review monthly journal entries associated with the freight and distribution yard functions. -Perform/review various monthly account reconciliations, investigate unreconciled balances or variances between general ledger and various source documents -Oversight and completion of monthly inventory capitalization models -Support ongoing efforts focused on streamlining, improving, and automating processes -Prepare/review monthly journal entries associated with inventory models and various other operational transactions associated with inventory functions.

What You Bring

-Strong analytical & problem-solving skills to research and resolve inquiries and respond in a timely manner -Mid- to advanced PC skills using Outlook, Word, Excel (ability to perform pivots, V-lookups and other functions with Excel) -Solid organizational skills: task prioritization and effective time management -Able to handle confidential information in a mature manner -Strong technical skills including knowledge of GAAP -Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required, CPA or CMA preferred -Attention to detail and accuracy is a must -Minimum of 5+ years practical work experience -Oracle experience preferred, but not required -Ability to understand issues, demonstrate resourcefulness and pro-actively resolve problems and manage multiple projects in a timely manner
