The Role

Civil Engineer delivering airfield projects, supporting design, construction, and client liaison.

Tasks

-Championing excellent health and safety practice, including safety in design, site visit safety and compliance with CDM regulations. -Supporting the preparation of technical reports, calculations, drawings and specifications related to the delivery of airfield engineering projects at airports in both the UK and overseas. -Helping to identify and manage design risks, issues and Request for Information (RFIs). -Ensuring all deliverables and milestones are achieved to cost/quality/time targets. -Responding to client directions in a professional and customer focused manner and to develop and maintain relationships with clients, peers and others who are influential in providing future business. -Support Project Managers by undertaking project progress monitoring and contributing to the development of appropriate project controls, including change management, information management and document control.

What You Bring

-Experience and knowledge of international airfield design standards such as ICAO, CAA, EASA and FAA is preferable but not required. -A University degree relevant to civil engineering, construction, design or related discipline -Experience of delivering civil engineering projects. It is not a requirement for this to include aviation specific work and can instead include experience on similar projects such as highways, urban realm, maritime ports etc… -Knowledge and experience of using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and any other relevant other engineering design software packages. -You’ll have confidence to work under pressure with the ability to prioritise and plan effectively and be able to demonstrate a time when you’ve successfully managed to do this. -Excellent written, verbal communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiences -Enjoy working in a team environment, sharing ideas and collaborating with colleagues and be able to demonstrate a time when you’ve managed to do this successfully to solve complex problems.
