Tasks

-Mentoring junior members of the Planning Team -Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of training programmes -Responsible for delivering training to Project Team Members -Providing feedback and development plans for Planners and Project Team Members -Creating specific development plans and syllabi for Project Team Members -Assisting in the hiring process for Planners, assessing level of development against our criteria -Delivering Training to Project Teams, Package Managers etc. -Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the Planning Department -Collaborating with other departments to identify training needs and gaps -Facilitating workshops and training sessions, both in person and virtually -Working with Training & Development Department to ensure that training aligns with corporate objectives -Where necessary, occasionally assisting the business in standard Planning Management duties -Preparing regular reports on training progress and outcomes -Responsible for delivering training and coaching to Planners & Planning Managers -Promoting Schedule Literacy across the business -Creating specific development plans and syllabi for Planners -Developing and updating training materials and documentation -Advising on and developing best practice for the company -Assisting with Planning Department innovation initiatives -Working with Training & Development Dept to deliver training to all new starts -Improving and advancing Planning within the company -Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies during training activities -Responsible for developing training programmes for the above in line with company procedures -Travelling to projects, as required, to carry out the above duties -Delivering Training to Planners -Responsible for developing quantitative assessment criteria to determine knowledge and development level of planners and project team members -Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices in planning and scheduling

What You Bring

-The ideal candidate will have a minimum 5 years’ experience in Planning Management Role. -Travel will be required for this position -Track record of delivering training to Project Teams -Deep knowledge of Mercury’s procedures -The ideal candidate will have a minimum 15 years’ experience in Planning -Planning Knowledge -Role requires deep knowledge of Mercury’s processes and systems and is not suitable for an outside candidate -Track record of training & developing Planners, Planning Managers
