  • Be a design lead on preliminary design studies and final design of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) projects.
  • Perform work following an agreed-upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
  • Reviews designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings.
  • Support the business development of the AECOM Bus Rapid Transit Design Group.Contributes to the development of reports and documentation needed for the pursuit of federal grants.
  • Lead a team preparing engineering calculations and developing drawings and visual aids for BRT infrastructure.
  • Coordinate, cooperate, and work collaboratively with other team members.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Assists with the engineering design of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) projects, including the design of BRT transit guideways, BRT stations, and pedestrian facilities.

  • Experience in engineering design projects for WisDOT, the City of Madison, urban municipalities, and/or transit agencies.
  • Able to work out of our Middleton, Wisconsin office.
  • BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Experience with working between Revit and OpenRoads or Civil 3D.
  • Experience with oversight of junior staff.
  • Experience working with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer/OpenRail Designer.
  • Experience designing transit (ideally BRT infrastructure) and/or transportation infrastructure.
  • Experience with business development and client relations.
  • Professional Engineer’s License.

  • Offered rate of compensation (Middleton, WI and statewide.) area only will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The annual salary for this opportunity is $140,000.00 - $190,000.00.
