Overview
Design and migrate BI platforms across AWS, SQL Server, Azure/Fabric, lead team and stakeholders.

Tasks
-Implement best practices for data modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas), performance tuning and security -Track milestones, manage risks and report status to stakeholders -Partner with business customers to gather requirements, scope new initiatives and translate needs into technical designs -Mentor and coach BI developers/analysts; conduct code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions -Facilitate design reviews, demo sessions and end-user training -Establish and evangelize standards for data governance, testing and documentation -Define project scopes, schedules and priorities for multiple concurrent BI initiatives -Design, build and optimize data pipelines, semantic models and reports

What You Bring
-Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for working with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders -Experience with data modeling, ETL design patterns and semantic layer development -Collaboration: Comfortable facilitating workshops, requirement sessions and cross-functional teaming -Proven track record migrating SQL Server BI solutions to Azure/Fabric -SQL Server stack on EC2 (SSAS, SSIS, BIML, Power BI) -Exposure to BIML a plus -5+ years of hands-on BI development and architecture across both AWS and SQL Server stacks -Delivery Management: Skilled at scheduling, prioritizing tasks and managing stakeholder expectations -Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field -AWS BI: S3, Redshift, Lambda -SQL Server BI: SSAS, SSIS (on EC2) -Strong expertise in: -AWS (S3, Redshift, Lambda ETL, Power BI) -Adaptability: Eager to learn new technologies and adjust to evolving business needs -Azure & Microsoft Fabric: Data Factory on Fabric, Synapse Analytics, OneLake, Data Activator, Azure Analysis Services -Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate and/or Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer (preferred) -Technical Leadership: Ability to set architecture direction, enforce standards and drive continuous improvement -Deep hands-on experience with Power BI and DAX for advanced calculations, custom visuals and performance tuning -Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and data-driven mindset
