R&d Lab Technician

Overview

Prepare formulas, conduct tests, and document results in an industrial R&D lab.

Tasks

-Perform key tests: viscosity, density, weight per gallon, color development, adhesion, cure, solids, flexibility, and solvent resistance. -Prepare and process formulas, including wet samples, applying them to lab metals, baking, and testing properties. -Follow batch tickets (recipes) with exceptional accuracy for weights and measurements. -Document all work in physical or electronic lab notebooks. -Keep the lab organized and equipment calibrated, following 5S principles. -Identify and resolve anomalies or escalate concerns promptly. -Promote safety by adhering to all policies and best practices. -Maintain raw material inventory and ensure proper labeling.

What You Bring

-Ability to follow complex instructions and project plans. -Non-degreed candidates considered with 1+ year of wet chemistry lab experience. -Exposure to strong paint odors—candidates should be comfortable in this setting. -Experience in a laboratory setting, especially wet chemistry. -AS or BS in Science (preferred) -Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. -Skilled in documentation and data integrity. -Hands-on experience with advanced testing and formulation.
