Junior Manager of Commercial Finance

Tasks

-Develop financial models and analyses to support decision-making and operational initiatives. -Collaborate with centralized accounting teams to support month-end close activities and ensure accuracy of financial reporting. -Assess pricing strategies, manage cost inputs, and analyze profitability to optimize financial performance. -Evaluate capital investments and resource allocations to maximize returns. -Serve as a financial partner to regional leadership, providing information and guidance in a clear and concise manner. -Assist in incorporating macro-economic and industry trends into the forecasting process. -Work closely with HR, operations, and sales teams to align financial goals with business objectives. -Lead the development and execution of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and other short-term financial planning. -Monitor key financial performance indicators (KPIs) and provide variance analysis with actionable insights. -Conduct financial analysis to identify risks and exposure in the business unit and apprise senior leadership of any potential concerns. -Perform detailed variance analysis on monthly and quarterly basis vs operation plan. -Manage business unit’s expenses to budget and continuously work to eradicate unnecessary costs. -Assist in financial due diligence and business integration efforts when applicable. -Assist in managing cash flow by supporting improvements in Days on Hand (DOH), Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), and Days Payable Outstanding (DPO) -Develop and maintain relationships with outside sales and other business leaders to drive accurate revenue and cost inputs to improve forecasts. -Partner with corporate FP&A to align forecasting and budgeting processes with company objectives.

What You Bring

-Strong business acumen and customer service skills. -Ability to build strong working relationships with others in the organization. -5+ years of experience in finance or combination of finance/operations roles. -Proficient in financial analysis, forecasting and financial modeling. -Experience in the relevant industry or sector is often preferred but not always required. -High level of accountability for quality of work. -Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders. -Adept use of Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI to extrapolate data and create meaningful reports for end users. -Must pass work eligibility requirements. -High aptitude for flexibility and comfortable with change. -Knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP. -Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. -High level of organizational skills, time management skills, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment to consistently meet deadlines. -Ability to sit for an extended period and operate standard office equipment. -Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
