The Role

Overview

Maintain and repair mechanical & electrical systems in a hyperscale data centre.

Tasks

-Notify management if subcontractor performance does not meet the requirements outlined in the Master Service Agreement -Perform building walkthroughs, taking meter readings from UPS, PDUs, and utilities. -Complete assigned work following established processes and procedures, adhering to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements. Conduct routine quality checks to maintain comprehensive maintenance records. -Ensure that the site's environmental conditions are conducive to a safe and efficient work environment. -Autonomy meets support – manage service delivery end-to-end while being mentored by an experienced platform team. -Complete all required training to ensure the successful completion of job-related responsibilities. -Respond promptly to Building Management System alarms and perform emergency repairs as necessary -Support high-growth operations at a leading static site and client location in the booming Hyperscale Data Center sector. -Deliver results by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance. -Execute planned preventative maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance on all equipment -Utilize existing procedures to solve straightforward problems, with limited discretion -Conduct daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Electrical Engineering systems and technical equipment, including servicing and maintenance tasks. -Collaborate with third-party vendors to ensure compliance with company-developed processes, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations. -Monitor the Building Management System for running and alarm conditions, addressing HVAC-related client issues. -Address facility and plant faults and defects with effective solutions

What You Bring

-Ability to work shifts, including weekends and holidays. -To effectively present information to an internal department, client, management and/or colleagues. Strong communication skills to effectively present information to internal departments, clients, management, and colleagues. -Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. -Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the role. -Basic math skills, with the ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups. -Must hold active ARC license with Cert III NSW in Airconditioning & Refrigeration/ Cert III Electrical with Non restricted License NSW -Communication skills to exchange straightforward information. -Training in a technical discipline, having completed an apprenticeship or equivalent, with 1-2 years of job-related experience. A combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of a Certificate III. -Familiarity with general maintenance and repair practices, including hands-on experience with power tools, electrical work, painting, and other related trades -“Unless otherwise advised, CBRE data centre sites require Australian Citizenship and on request from our customers participating in a government clearance process and holding a government clearance up to NV1 is required”. -Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work. -Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and precision in all aspects of work. -Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
