Engineer and Project Leader, Automation & Control - Biofuels Department

Tasks

-Maintain synergy with the project team -Serve as leader when preparing technical and commercial proposals -Take on the responsibilities of a project manager, which includes ensuring that all assigned deliverables are produced in accordance with quality requirements and are on time and on budget -Prepare material lists and bills of materials according to codes, standards, drawings and other established procedures in accordance with BBA’s quality system requirements -Participate in site testing -Provide technical assistance at project start-up and after delivery -Establish and maintain contact with clients -Plan, organize and determine client needs for new facilities or expansion projects -Perform technical surveys -Define client needs and target new needs during projects -Revise analyses and deliverables produced by junior engineers, technicians and drafters -Interact with clients and participate in business development

What You Bring

-Site experience and a focus on occupational safety -Interest or relevant experience in automation and instrumentation -Advanced level of English to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients outside Québec. The frequency of English use may range from occasional to daily, depending on ongoing projects -Experience with system troubleshooting, commissioning and implementation -From 7 to 12 years of relevant experience -Available for short- and long-term work assignments at client locations or sites -Available to travel to and from our BBA offices in the Greater Montréal area -Bachelor’s degree in automated production engineering, electrical engineering or other relevant training -Practical experience in instrumentation and control design (design criteria, network architecture, instrument selection, etc.) -Relevant experience in developing and programming control systems (SCADA, PLC, DCS) -Rigour and ethical -Caring mindset that puts people first -Member of a Canadian professional engineering association
