Tasks
As the Section Manager within the Fire Engineering Global Specialist Group, you’ll play a key role in leading our Fire Engineering team in Victoria as well contributing to the National and Global fire engineering group. You will cultivate client relationship and oversee the team in delivering projects and resource allocation throughout project delivery. Collaboration across NDY’s global network of fire engineers and other Tetra Tech businesses will be central to your success. You will lead the fire engineering team in Melbourne, in creating a collaborative and high-performance environment, delivering high-quality fire safety solutions, and staff. -Provide leadership and mentorship to the fire engineering team in Melbourne -Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national codes, standards, and best practices -Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring expectations are met or exceeded -Collaborate with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated fire safety strategies -Oversee the design and delivery of innovative fire safety engineering solutions across diverse projects -Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful outcomes -Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and documentation for stakeholders -Promote a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team -Conduct technical reviews and offer expert guidance on complex fire engineering challenges

What You Bring
-Postgraduate Diploma or Masters in Fire Engineering -Demonstrated experience in fire engineering design and project management, ideally within a consultancy environment -Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams -Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or a related discipline -Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) -Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail -In-depth knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulatory frameworks
