Tasks

-Review medium complexity designs, ensuring compliance and value-engineered solutions. -Track hours worked to align with project budgets. -Work with teams to create technical submissions, including schematics that meet project specifications. -Manage your workload while mentoring junior designers for effective collaboration. -Support commissioning efforts to verify system performance. -Prepare bills of materials for project execution. -Mentor team members on precise documentation practices and step in during their absence. -Review team outputs for quality assurance. -Engage in design meetings, providing insights based on hands-on experience. -Utilize field experience with clean agents to prepare project documentation for critical environments. -Conduct calculations to guarantee compliance with standards. -Respond to inquiries about fire suppression systems promptly. -Assist Project Managers in maintaining project margins through effective solutions. -Assist with pre-sales estimates to ensure proposal accuracy. -Provide technical support to field teams and subcontractors. -Ensure submissions meet equipment compatibility and project requirements.

What You Bring

-Experience with fire alarm systems. -Familiarity with VESDA detection systems. -Capability to manage multiple projects. -Willingness to learn hydraulic software. -Strong communication skills. -Strong time management and leadership skills. -Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PDF software. -Hands-on experience with various clean agents. -NICET certification or willingness to obtain. -Ability to finalize project drawings. -Knowledge of enclosure and hazard types. -5+ years of suppression design experience. -Experience with special hazard and clean agent suppression systems. -Able to read and interpret blueprints. -Understanding of compliance requirements. -Experience with Ansul and Kidde systems. -AutoCAD proficiency. -Ability to identify design flaws. -Experience in material management.
