Accountant handling daily finance, month‑end close, cost & inventory for new plant

Tasks
-Assist Plant Controller with financial reports and operational KPIs -Collaborate with global experts from across the Trench Group and network -Coordinate with tax consultants and corporate tax teams. -Support standard costing setup and cost roll-ups. -Build from Day One – Help establish the financial backbone of a new U.S. manufacturing site. -Ensure accuracy and control of financial master data. -Manage intercompany transactions, loan accounting, and cross-charging. -Support SAP S4/HANA implementation and configuration (FI/CO, MM, Production). -Maintain fixed asset accounting, including CIP tracking, depreciation, and disposals. -Ownership & Impact – Directly shape accounting processes and SAP configuration. -Maintain compliance with GAAP and IFRS where applicable. -Develop and implement accounting procedures and internal controls. -Manage daily A/P, A/R and general ledger entries. -Execute intercompany reconciliations with entities in Germany and Canada. -Global Collaboration – Work cross-functionally with finance teams in Germany and Canada. -Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial schedules. -Optimize processes related to A/P, A/R, and cost center structures. -Perform inventory accounting, including valuation, reserves, and reconciliations. -Contribute to sustainable infrastructure and innovation-driven solutions in the energy sector -Partner with Order Management to ensure accurate billing and revenue recognition. -Create visibility tools in Excel or Power BI for performance tracking. -Support documentation requests for internal and external audits. -Own month-end close activities and meet closing deadlines.

What You Bring
-Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. -Comfortable working with international teams and time zones. -SAP S4/HANA experience is required – especially FI/CO, MM, and inventory. -High attention to detail with a strong internal control mindset. -Ability to analyze financial data and explain variances. -Experience owning monthly close processes. -3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing. -Strong foundation in U.S. GAAP; IFRS exposure a plus. -Knowledge of cost accounting and inventory valuation.
