The Role

Overview

Deliver products using a van/box truck, handle loading, paperwork, and customer service.

Tasks

-Pick up material returns from customers; responsible for inspecting the condition of the material and verifies quantities and catalog numbers -Use hands to finger, handle, or feel: Operates a computer and other office machinery - Constantly – at least 51% -Pick up material from company suppliers -Senior Truck Driver will participate in the training of entry level Truck Drivers; and provides mentorship and coaching -Keep company vehicle clean, serviced, and maintained; alert supervisor of repair and/or service needed -May assist in preparing orders for delivery -May be required to support other Warehouse duties such as preparing and filling orders and/or receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping material -Inspect company vehicle for visual and operating defects; responsible for completing a daily inspection report -Load or unload vehicle and ensure all material for each order is correct (quantity and type of material) and that material is free of damage before departure -Ensure all appropriate documentation is thoroughly completed at the time of delivery, including delivery receipt is signed by the customer, packing list and branch/warehouse manifest

-Up to 10 pounds - Constantly – at least 51% -Must follow Department of Transportation (DOT), local and state driving laws and regulations -Sit: Must be able to remain in a stationary position - Constantly – at least 51% -Exposed to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environment such as high noise level and/or exposure to heat and cold - Occasionally – up to 20% -Good attention to detail -Walk: Must be able to move about inside/outside office or work location - Occasionally – up to 20% -Strong knowledge of safety regulations and be familiar with traffic and driver laws -Ability to meet deadlines -Talk, hear, taste, smell: Must be able to use senses to effectively communicate with co-workers and clients and detect hazardous conditions - Constantly – at least 51% -Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines -Must obtain verification of non-expired medical certificate as required by law within 60 days of hire -Up to 25 pounds - Constantly – at least 51% -Ability to work overtime as needed -Ability to handle loads with a combine weight not to exceed 26,000 GVW -Must pass a pre-employment and annual review of the Motor Vehicle Record -Ability to handle basic issues and problems -Climb or balance: Must be able to ascend/descend on a ladder, forklift, pallet jack, or other warehouse equipment - Occasionally – up to 20% -Excellent customer service skills -Travels to offsite locations - Constantly – at least 51% -Must be at least 21 years of age -Must not have had a suspended driver's license for a traffic accident/violation within the past 3 years -Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl: Must be able to crouch down to stock shelves, pick up boxes, or position oneself to maintain computers in the lab/under desks/in server closet - Occasionally – up to 20% -Must have a valid driver’s license -Up to 50 pounds - Frequently – 21% to 50% -Must not have any at fault accidents in the past 3 years -Handles or works with potentially dangerous equipment - Frequently – 21% to 50% -Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws
