Tasks

-Read and interpret pertinent bid documents and plans -May supervise a team of junior estimators -Develop and review project estimates and schedules ($1M-$30M) -Evaluate DBE participation to ensure project goals are met -Develop and deliver project bid packages -Develop the project scope and identify necessary disciplines -Provide direction and assistance to junior team members -Identify subcontractor roles -Perform quantity takeoffs from civil construction plans and documents -Identify constructability issues -Coordinate pre-bid activities and inquiries with the owner -Identify value engineering opportunities

What You Bring

-Associates or bachelor's degree in a construction-related field -Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a construction related field preferred -Previous experience with estimating software HeavyBid or equivalent -Previous work with NCDOT and VDOT -FSA Program -Experience with Dept of Transportation specifications -4 -7 years of experience as a civil construction estimator -Experience with heavy highway, earthwork, bridge, and utility construction
