Senior engineer designing pipelines, pump stations and facilities for oil & gas projects

Tasks

-Coordination and expediting, as necessary, for all assigned project procurement activities, including the review and approval of all equipment and material engineering specifications and technical data sheets, Request for Quotation (“RFQ”) and Request for Purchase (“RFP”) packages, coordinating responses to vendor clarification requests, evaluating vendor proposals, and overseeing the selection of equipment and materials that meets the project design requirements. -Hydraulic calculations, line sizing, pipe material grade and wall thickness selection, and Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure (MAOP) calculations -Develop detailed designs of pipelines, compressor/pump stations, and other facilities related scope of work. -Performs duties under general direction. -Assigns and reviews the work of subordinate engineers and project support staff. -Cost estimating. -Development of project scopes of work, engineering design basis documentation, and construction bid packages. -Makes important decisions and recommendations on highly technical or complex matters. -Coordinate compliance and permitting efforts. -Pipe routing and overall facility site layout. -May be required to seal engineering drawings as the engineer of record. -Conducting field investigations and gathering applicable data to support detailed engineering and design for both greenfield sites and the upgrade, modification, and expansion of existing infrastructure. -Develops and recommends improvements in design standards. -Process Flow Diagram (PFD) and P&ID Development.

What You Bring

-Strong understanding of applicable engineering standards (ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, etc.) and Industry standards and regulations (CFR 192 and CFR 195, NACE, etc.). -NCEES record preferred. -Knowledge in the Midstream Oil & Gas industry. -Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Access. -Experience with scheduling software, cost estimating software/spreadsheets preferred. -A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is required. -Experience with pipe stress modeling software preferred. -Experience with hydraulic modeling software preferred. -Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE). -Excellent analytical skills with the ability to dissect problems and quickly develop solutions. -Shows proven sound judgment and initiative in the interpretation of policies, and in the planning and execution of important projects. -PE licensure preferred. -Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions. -Strong natural gas experience preferred. -Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. -Experience coordinating with client SME’s/stakeholders and offsite team members. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills. -B.S. in ABET accredited Engineering program with 5-15 years of relevant experience. -Ability to travel, up to 15%. -Experience with AutoDesk software or other 3D design platforms preferred. -Equipment specification and sizing, including pumps, motors, metering, sampling, storage tanks, relief valves, pipe, valves, and fittings.
