Tasks

-Carry out assignments of substantial variety and/or complexity requiring a sound understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices -Test automation and data acquisition systems, including scripting (e.g., Python, LabVIEW) -Perform daily engineering tasks including rapid prototyping, test development, experimental setup, testing, analysis, and documentation of results and conclusions -CFD and thermal simulations for design validation and optimization -Drive technology development projects from concept to implementation, ensuring performance, timeline, and budget targets are met -Research and procure equipment to support development efforts and enhance team tools, workflows, and knowledge sharing -Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to align technical goals with business priorities, implement effective design solutions, and support ongoing initiatives -Using scripting languages for numerical simulation (e.g., MATLAB, Python) and database design

What You Bring

-Working with UVC LEDs, optical sensors, or related optical hardware -Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or other relevant engineering degree. -Electrical design, reading schematics, panel wiring, test tools (e.g. oscilloscopes) and hands-on assembly -Skilled in testing, validation, experimental design, and data analysis. -5+ years of experience in product design and implementation, prototyping, and engineering analysis. -Proficient in SolidWorks and familiar with manufacturing processes (3D printing, injection molding, CNC machining etc.) -UVC disinfection principles such as fluence rate, dose-response, and pathogen inactivation
